Google for Startups invites women-led startups for a three months virtual accelerator program. The program is designed to link startups in Africa with Google’s top experts, products and technology to help them build Africa-centered solutions with technology. During the program, participants will be given content and mentorship tailored to the unique needs of women-led startups and opportunities to network with Google’s global women founders’ community.
Interested participants should be running a startup up to the Series A stage (the second stage of startup financing and the first stage of venture capital financing). The program is sector-agnostic and welcomes startups leveraging machine learning (or plan to in future) from any vertical.

Norrsken Foundation, a non-profit foundation based in Switzerland, seeks applicants for its Accelerator programme. The 2023 edition of the Accelerator programme is designed to identify the world’s most promising impact startups and support them to scale. The programme targets early-stage startups globally that leverage technology to create and scale innovative solutions to new and old societal and environmental challenges.
The program includes an eight-week growth sprint and Norrsken House in Stockholm and a mentorship roster of 50 entrepreneurs, investors and unicorn founders. Applicants will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas to over 300 top international investors. Successful applicants will receive a USD 125,000 upfront or pre-seed investment from the Norrsken Foundation.

The Westerwelle Start-up Haus invites young entrepreneurs to participate in their Westerwelle Young Founders Program (YFP). The six-month program aims to support young entrepreneurs with targeted support to scale their ventures and develop leadership abilities in contributing toward building a sustainable future.
During the program, successful applicants will participate in the following activities:
- Kick-Off Conference: A two-day virtual kick-off conference will take place on March 3 and 6, 2023
- Remote Program:From March to August 2023, participants will receive six months of support, including a personal mentor, monthly peer mentoring sessions, monthly expert workshops, and networking opportunities with corporate representatives and investors
- Berlin Conference:Ten best-performing participants will be invited to a five-day conference in May 2024, where they will have the opportunity to pitch to investors, participate in workshops, join networking events, and participate in the German start-up scene

- Recently (in the last five years) started a for-profit company focused on developing or emerging markets;

On behalf of the AEDIB|NET consortium, the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) invites applicants to participate in one of the AEDIB|NET Virtual Partnership Programmes managed by two innovation centres (1 in Africa and 1 in Europe).
The program seeks 100 participants (50 from Africa and 50 from Europe) to engage in learning and knowledge exchange exercises. The program is designed with core shared elements for the startups and tailor-made components meeting the specific needs of participating companies.
Through the program, participants will gain skills and knowledge in several areas including business development, strategic planning, startup management fundraising, networking, and sustainability. The program is designed around the following pillars:
- Capacity-building
- Peer-learning
- Problem-solving
- Learning-by-doing
Thirty successful participants will have the opportunity to participate in a physical boot camp (15 for Africa and 15 for Europe). Each boot camp will be organized in conjunction with a major event during which participants will receive investment readiness training and an opportunity to pitch in front of a jury and investors.

On 11 November 2022, Bank Populaire du Rwanda Plc (BPR), in partnership with ConsumerCentriX and the African Management Institute (AMI), held a graduation for 16 entrepreneurs from 13 businesses who had successfully participated in the Survive to Thrive program.



The 4-month program offered by AMI sought to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge needed to build a resilient business that thrives in adversity. The intensive program featured online courses complemented by in-person training sessions where entrepreneurs learned several business concepts, such as customer and market dynamics, and overcoming challenges like reduced revenue and profitability.

The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology offers 12-month graduate-level training to aspiring African entrepreneurs. The 2024 class, also known as Entrepreneurs-in-Training (EITs), will complete a graduate-level course in software development, business, and communication with a specific focus on practical implementation. MEST is an African-wide tech entrepreneur training program, seed fund, and network of hubs offering incubation for tech startups in Africa. The MEST program is a fully sponsored opportunity.
Through the program, EITs will receive intensive entrepreneurial training and extensive hands-on project work to master industry-proven methodologies for developing world-class tech businesses from industry experts and business executives.
Interested applicants must fulfil the following to be eligible to enroll:
- Have a degree from a university or technical college or equivalent experience with at least two years of corporate and startup experience
- Have excellent skills in either communications, business, or software development, enthusiasm for tech entrepreneurship, and knowledge of how to use tech to achieve business results
- Demonstrate a willingness to commit to a complete residential program for a whole year

The program aims two enhance women’s business skills via a two-pronged approach – increasing the capacity and sustainability of providers supporting women-led SMEs and increasing access to mentorship, funding, and visibility for women-led SMEs.
Interested business development service providers should:
- Be based in one of the following countries (Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Cape Verde, Zambia, DRC, Cameroon, Mali, Zimbabwe, Bostwana)
